My father James Hugh Gascoyne (NOW AGED 99 ) was with 55 squadron in IRAQ and remembers “Blotto” the dog ….the Squadron mascot. He has many other memories and photographs from his time in Iraq 1936 -39 and then with the squadron in North Africa during WW2 before his return to the UK in 1941.
Thanks for the comment. I’m sorry it’s taken so long to approve and acknowledge it. Your father must have a treasure trove of photographs that are unique. If ever you’d like to have a site like this built for him and your family please get in touch.
